The late summer moon

Here are a couple of images I made last night. One is a stack of about 400 stills extracted from a video. The second is a stitched composite of about 5 close-up portions of the moon. I manually put these together in photoshop. I’m getting a handle on Keith’s Image stacker finally. It was a bit hazy that night, and clouds blew in later on, so there is a slight fuzziness to the images. Damn Europe.

It seems that the stills have much better contrast than the video.

Composite from several close-up shots.

Stacked with KIS from video stills.
